More Than Riding Lessons
At Barnabas Stables, riding lessons are about more than learning how to sit in a saddle. Riders learn how to safely work with horses, care for them, communicate with them, and develop confidence through the experience.
Our goal is to provide a welcoming environment where riders can grow in their riding abilities while also developing patience, responsibility, perseverance, and respect.
Riding lessons may include:
Horse safety and barn etiquette
Grooming and preparing a horse
Leading and handling horses
Mounting and dismounting safely
Balance, posture, and riding fundamentals
Steering, stopping, and controlling the horse
Building confidence around horses
Understanding basic horse care and behavior
